Maryland Hunger Solutions, an initiative of the Food Research and Action Center, is hosting the 9th annual Maryland Food Access and Nutrition Network (MFANN) Fighting Hunger in Maryland conference this September - Maryland’s only statewide anti-hunger conference!
As the only statewide anti-hunger conference, Fighting Hunger in Maryland is an important forum that connects leaders from state and local agencies, nonprofits, schools and advocates to inform, engage, and inspire action to promote equity in food access and nutrition in Maryland. This year’s conference theme, What is the Solution to Hunger?, will examine the causes of hunger and the various approaches to address those causes through policy change, community outreach, sharing best practices, and educating public officials as well as the broader public. Working collaboratively is what can help us make Maryland a more equitable and food-secure state.
Participants and expert panelists will include advocates, community members, direct service providers, legislators, members of the business community, educators, funders, students, policymakers, faith leaders, and health care providers. See familiar faces and meet new allies in the fight against hunger! It’s the participation and energy of the anti-hunger community that makes the MFANN Conference so great.
