The Helen J. Serini Foundation is five years young this year! We’re so excited to be doing this work, engaging with our community in new and different ways, and learning from each and every one of you along the way. In order to ensure that we’re absorbing all the information we’ve taken in and implementing it in ways that ensure continued success for our grant partners, we’re taking a brief pause in order to do some strategic planning, refine our focus, and narrow in on our direction for the next five years.
Because we want to be sure to approach this work carefully, we don’t want to rush things. To that end, our Fall 2017 grant cycle will be open only to existing or past grant partners by invitation only. This will allow us to focus on our strategic planning while simultaneously ensuring that we are clearly communicating what, exactly, we are looking for in letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and future partnerships.
We recognize the power and importance of allowing unsolicited requests in this work; we don’t profess to know every non-profit organization in our communities, and we love learning about new-to-us work and new-to-us organizations each grant cycle. Rest assured that unsolicited grant requests will re-open in 2018, just as soon as we catch our breath and craft a clear and focused vision for how our organization will grow over the next five years.
We can’t thank you enough for being a part of this journey with us. We continue to be impressed by the passion, dedication, and knowledge of each and every one working to make our communities stronger, healthier, and happier, and look forward to continuing to learn with you all.
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.
Regards,
